POWER-GEN Asia and Renewable Energy World Asia Offer Successful Conclusion to Singapore International Energy Week
SINGAPORE, Nov 18, 2010 - (ACN Newswire) - POWER-GEN Asia and co-located Renewable Energy World Asia, the regions premier conference and exhibition for the power generation, renewable energy and transmission and distribution industries, was commended by the industry for its quality delegation and enjoyed a successful conclusion to the three day event with a record breaking number of conference delegates. The event also concluded the Singapore International Energy Week.
Following a well attended opening keynote, which saw Senior Minister of State for Energy & Industry and Education, S Iswaran, report on the recent developments in the Singapore electricity industry and announce the acceleration of the country's LNG terminal expansion, the event saw 3 days of high level conference discussions to a nearly 700 strong delegation and almost 6000 industry professionals attend the exhibition.
During his keynote speech John Ng, CEO of Power Seraya said, "In Singapore, energy companies have committed to new investment to enhance the generation capacity fuelled by the new LNG."

Record attendance to quality conference
The conference discussed many issues, from future requirements for power generation to financing in light of the recent economic conditions, and from diverse renewable energy solutions to the need for nuclear power in the region to maintain energy security.
