NEDO・日本電気・富士通、ポスト5Gに向けた基地局装置間の相互接続性検証の大幅な効率化に成功

異なるベンダーの基地局装置間の検証時間を30%以上短縮

東京, 2023年07月12日 - (JCN Newswire) - NEDOの「ポスト５Ｇ情報通信システム基盤強化研究開発事業」（以下、本事業）で、日本電気（株）と富士通（株）は、ポスト5Gに対応した基地局装置（O-RAN仕様準拠）間の相互接続性を検証する技術（以下、本技術）の研究開発に取り組んでいます。

両者は英国と米国の拠点で接続性の検証環境を構築し、2021年8月から2023年6月まで、本技術の動作検証を実施しました。その結果、最適なテストシナリオの抽出や、パラメーターの生成から検証結果の良否判定までの一連の流れを自動化することにより、海外の通信事業者（オペレーター）の商用環境を想定した異なるベンダーの基地局装置（O-RAN仕様準拠）間の相互接続性の検証時間を30%以上短縮するなど、大幅な効率化に成功しました。

今後両社は、本技術と本技術を適用した検証環境を継続して国内外のオペレーターや基地局装置ベンダーとの共同検証に活用することで、異なるベンダーの基地局装置（O-RAN仕様準拠）を組み合わせたシステムの導入までの期間をさらに短縮し、オープン化した5Gネットワークのグローバルな普及と発展を後押しすることにより、通信インフラ市場の活性化に貢献していきます。
