富士通、世界最先端テクノロジーによる社会課題解決や価値創出に向けて、「富士通スモールリサーチラボ」による産学連携を強化
東京, 2023年03月17日 - (JCN Newswire) - 当社は、コンピューティング、AI、ネットワーク、データ＆セキュリティ、コンバージングテクノロジーといった、当社が注力する5つの技術領域の研究開発と社会実装を強力に推進する重要施策として、国内外の大学内に研究拠点を設け、当社研究員が常駐または長期で滞在しながら産学連携の活動を行う「富士通スモールリサーチラボ」を推進しています。主に2022年4月から2023年3月にかけて、コンピューティング領域で4大学、AI領域で3大学、コンピューティングとAIの融合領域とデータ＆セキュリティ領域で各々2大学、コンバージングテクノロジー領域で1大学の計12大学と順次、共同研究開発拠点を設立しました。
社会課題が複雑化する昨今、より上位視点での研究テーマ選定や文理の垣根を超えた研究活動の重要性の高まりを受け、当社は「富士通スモールリサーチラボ」を拠点に、これまでの個別の技術テーマにおける研究者個人間の連携が中心の産学連携に対して、幅広い分野の先生や学生と組織間で中長期的な関係を構築し、異分野融合による社会課題の解決を実現するとともに、研究開発の効率化、新規テーマの発掘および学生を含む人材育成への貢献を目指しています。
当社は今後、カナダのトロント大学やイスラエルのベングリオン大学に加え、「富士通スモールリサーチラボ」の海外展開を加速させていき、グローバルな最先端技術の開発を強力に推進していきます。
