薩凡納，GA, United States, Nov 22, 2011 - ( JCN Newswire ) - 灣流航空航天公司今日宣布，灣流G650已獲美國聯邦航空局的臨時型號認證。這為該公司按照原定計劃於2012年第二季度開始對該超大機艙、超遠航程型商務噴氣機往城內部裝飾工作，準備向客戶交付該飛機掃清了道路。

飛行試驗計劃中的四架G650飛機在675次飛行的過程中已經累計飛行了2,225多個小時。其中一架飛機已完成內部裝飾，可讓公司確認重量預測和測試新的功能，包括其用於備用機艙系統的Cabin Essential™設計。七架生產型飛機已進行過準備進入最後階段製造的飛行。 20多架飛機正處在初期或後期生產的不同階段。
在其取得的成就中，G650已經連續飛行超過14小時，飛行試驗數據確認其續航能力可達7,000海裡（12,964 公里），速度為0.85馬赫。該機還展示出5,000海裡（9,260公里）的續航能力，速度為0.90馬赫。 G650的最高速度達0.925馬赫，是世界上速度最快的民用飛機。
