Gulfstream Ranked No. 1 in Worldwide Product Support

Savannah, GA, United States, Sept 1, 2011   -  ( JCN Newswire )   -   Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. was recently named first in product support among original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) by two leading business aviation trade publications.

For the ninth year in a row, Aviation International News (AIN) ranked Gulfstream first in its annual product support survey. Additionally, Gulfstream was voted number one in the yearly product support survey published by Professional Pilot. Gulfstream has been at the top of the Pro Pilot rankings 11 of the past 14 years.
"The Pro Pilot and AIN surveys are benchmarks in the industry, so the number one ranking is a great honor for us," said Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream Product Support. "We are very proud of these results, especially because it represents the voice of our customers. We are committed to providing outstanding service and support worldwide. The key for us is to continue to listen to our customers."

In the past year, Gulfstream added a backup aircraft, three pilots and two technicians to its Savannah-based Airborne Product Support team. The company also opened new parts warehouses in Luton, England, and Madrid, and installed a Field and Airborne Support Team (FAST) in Europe.

Publication readers voted in both surveys. In the AIN 2011 Product Support Survey, Gulfstream placed first in the overall rankings for newer and older large-cabin jet aircraft (GII through G550).

In the Pro Pilot 2011 Corporate Aircraft Product Support Survey, Gulfstream was the lone OEM to improve its overall score from 2010. In fact, Gulfstream Product Support improved in each of the survey's seven categories.
