在99,600磅（45,179公斤）的最大起飛重量條件下，G650的起飛平衡場長從原來的6,000英尺（1,829米）縮短到了現在的5,858英尺（1,786米）。這一改進使G650在使用要求更高的短跑道起飛時能夠飛得更遠。
G650的最大巡航速度達到0.925馬赫，是已通過認證的民用飛機中速度最快的。該機配備兩台羅羅BR725 A1-12發動機，單台推力16,900磅，而與同級其他飛機相比，其油耗卻更低，產生的排放也更少。
G650於2012年9月7日獲得美國聯邦航空局的型號認證。預計該機將於今年年底之前開始交付。
