富士通、広島県大崎上島町でデジタル技術による離島の新たな交通・物流手段の確立を目指す実証実験を実施

オンデマンド交通技術と自動運転車両を活用し、交通・物流手段の少ない離島の課題を解決

東京, 2020年11月05日 - (JCN Newswire) - 大崎上島町スマートアイランド推進協議会（注1）は、このたび国土交通省の「スマートアイランド推進実証調査（注2）」に採択され、2020年12月17日より、富士通株式会社（注3）（以下、富士通）と共同で、オンデマンド交通技術と小型自動運転車両を活用した島内の新たな交通・物流手段の確立を目指す実証実験を、大崎上島町の白水港と垂水港の区間で実施します。

本実証実験では、富士通のオンデマンド配車サービス「FUJITSU Future Mobility Accelerator オンデマンド交通サービス」（以下、「オンデマンド交通サービス」）やコールセンターなどの運用サービス、PerceptIn Japan合同会社（注4）（以下、パーセプティン）が開発した自動運転技術と低速電動車両を活用した「自動運転プラットフォーム（注5）」を採用して実施します。利用者がウェブサイトや電話を通じて乗車時間を予約し、白水港と垂水港の区間を自動運転車両で移動する、島内の新たな交通手段としての有効性を検証します。また、宅配品提供者が利用者の注文を受けて、自動運転車両を手配し配送する新たな物流手段についても検証します。

大崎上島町スマートアイランド協議会と富士通は今後、本実証結果をもとに、大崎上島町の交通・物流の課題解決を検討していきます。
