Honda、新型コロナウイルス感染防止支援活動について

アメリカでの感染者搬送車両（仕立て車）提供、日本でのフェイスシールド生産開始

東京, 2020年05月06日 - (JCN Newswire) - Hondaは、世界各地で猛威を振るう新型コロナウイルス感染拡大防止にむけ、自治体への「感染者搬送車両（仕立て車）の提供」や「フェイスシールドの生産」などの支援活動を実施しています。

このたび日本に続き、米国においても、感染者の搬送車両（仕立て車）の提供を開始しました。まずは、ミシガン州デトロイト市へ、日本時間5月6日に10台を納車。車両は、Odyssey（北米仕様）を活用し、後部座席に乗車した感染者から前方の運転者への感染リスクを減らすための仕立てを施しています。今後もデトロイト市に続き、ニーズの高い自治体への貸与を検討していきます。

また、呼吸器の基幹部品である医療用コンプレッサーの生産に対し、Hondaの量産ノウハウを活用した生産支援も開始、月産1万個を目指します。

日本では、4月13日より感染者の搬送車両（仕立て車）について自治体への無償貸し出し等を開始し、5月1日までに、東京都、埼玉県、三重県、栃木県等の21自治体へ83台の納車を完了しています。また、フェイスシールドの生産を、ものづくりセンター栃木で5月11日より開始し、自治体を通じて、順次、医療現場の皆さまへ提供してまいります。

Hondaは、コロナ感染防止に向け、一日でも早い収束を願い、最前線で戦い続ける皆さまへ敬意を表するとともに、今「人のために、できること」に、一つひとつに取り組んでまいります。
