BYDとトヨタ、電気自動車の研究開発合弁会社「BYD TOYOTA EV TECHNOLOGYカンパニー有限会社」が発足

東京, 2020年04月02日 - (JCN Newswire) - 比亜迪股※有限公司（以下、BYD）とトヨタ自動車株式会社（以下、トヨタ）は、2019年11月7日に電気自動車の研究開発に関する合弁会社の設立に向けた契約を締結して以降、両社で準備を進めてまいりましたが、この度、登記を完了し、5月中を目途に事業を開始することになりました。新会社の社名は「BYD TOYOTA EV TECHNOLOGYカンパニー有限会社（以下、BTET）」で、董事長にトヨタの岸宏尚が、総経理にBYDの赵炳根が就任します。

会社設立にあたり、新董事長の岸宏尚は、「新会社では、BYDとトヨタそれぞれの強みを持ったエンジニアがひとつ屋根の下に集い切磋琢磨しながらクルマづくりに取り組むことで、中国のお客様に喜んでいただけ、性能にも優れた電気自動車の開発を目指します」と語りました。

新総経理の赵炳根は「新会社では、中国と日本からの技術やノウハウを持ち寄り、より環境に優しく、安全で、乗り心地よく、そして賢い電気自動車を作るための高品質な技術を追求し、普及させることに取り組んでまいります。我々のビジョンはお客様中心の未来のモビリティ社会に向け、利便性と環境保護を両立させることです」と語りました。

BYDとトヨタは、魅力ある電気自動車の研究開発とその先の普及を通じ、お客様の幅広いニーズにお応えするよう努力していくとともに、中国における環境改善に貢献していきたいと考えています。
