NEC、学習者用端末、通信ネットワーク、デジタル教材の提供を通じて、GIGAスクール構想の実現を推進
フルレイヤーでの教育ICT環境の整備
東京, 2020年02月17日 - (JCN Newswire) - NECは、国が掲げるGIGAスクール構想(注1)の実現に向けて、PC等の学習者用端末と校内の通信ネットワークといったICT環境の整備を進めていきます。同時に、本年4月より提供開始するNEC教育クラウド「Open Platform for Education」(注2)を通じてデジタル教材を提供します。ハードウェア、ソフトウェア、さらにはソリューションまでフルレイヤーで教育のデジタル化を推進し、GIGAスクール構想の実現に包括的に貢献していきます。
Society 5.0時代におけるICTを活用した新しい学びを実現するため、国はGIGAスクール構想を掲げ、1人1台の学習者用端末と高速大容量の通信ネットワークの整備を一体的に推進しています。文部科学省では、今年度補正予算ならびに来年度予算において、この予算措置を講じており、全国の自治体には、PCや通信ネットワークといったICT環境の整備のみならず、ICTを活用した指導体制の構築やデジタル教材など、教育のデジタル化を総合的に進めていくことが求められています。
そこで、NECは、これまで文教市場で蓄積してきた実績を元に、文部科学省「新時代の学びを支える先端技術活用推進方策」に基づく以下の製品・サービスを一体的に提供していきます。GIGAスクール構想で掲げる「誰一人取り残すことのない、公正に個別最適化された学び」をICTを通じて支えていきます。
