三菱商事、豪州クレアモント炭鉱及びユーラン炭鉱の売却合意

東京, 2018年12月18日 - (JCN Newswire) - 三菱商事株式会社（以下、当社）は、100％子会社の三菱デベロップメント社（Mitsubishi Development Pty Ltd、本社：豪州ブリスベン）を通じて権益を保有する2つの一般炭資産の売却に合意致しました(*)。売却対価の総額は750百万豪ドルとなります。

売却完了は、クレアモント炭鉱の他権益保有者による合弁契約書上の先買権の手続きの完了及び法制上必要となる各種承認手続き等の完了をもって、2019年中を想定しております。

当社は、積極的に資産を入替え、ポートフォリオの質の向上を図っていくことを経営方針のひとつに掲げております。今回の売却はその一環として実行したものです。

売却対象資産1：在クイーンズランド州クレアモント炭鉱権益31.4%
売却先：ジーエス・コール社（GS Coal Pty Ltd、グレンコア社及び住友商事株式会社が折半出資する共同運営会社）

売却対象資産2：在ニューサウスウェールズ州ユーラン炭鉱権益10%
売却先：グレンコアコール社（Glencore Coal Pty Ltd、グレンコア社の在豪100%子会社）
